I can't sleep if I have less than 1,000 Remington 10's in my stash and if I'm not sleeping neither should heI thought everyone got a sleep report from the CEO’s of CCI and Remington.

Welcome to the forum. #11 caps are the standard for rifle nipples. But depending on the nipple Remington #10 caps could be used with a tight fit. #11 caps are larger, diameter & length, than #10s. And CCI #10s are slightly smaller than Remington #10s. The CCI #10s are the least desirable but they can be made to work if nothing else is available. Nipples can be turned down to take them.Hello everyone I'm new here like everyone else have no caps. I have a TC 50 cal hawkins. It takes a #ten cap on the nipple. I don't have # 11 caps to compare with. My friend bought a rifle last weekend and got the #10s. My question is are the #11 different in size? if the #10 fits will the #11 be too loose. Also will the #10s be ok to use?
And I got more 8 more 6 cavity molds and another 500LBs of pure , and a dry stream bed full of flint now I just have to get the flint and cast the balls and hope someone shows for the party/EdThe shooting sports attract some people who probably need some Professional help, like people who empty their bank account to have 100,000 rounds of ammo drop shipped to their home , and causing problems domestically.
I did just get my 1,000 .454 round balls from MidWay today , that should keep me busy for a while.
Thanks, so if the #tens fit loose #11 will be even looser ? I am looking into getting a musket nipple and probably a #11 nipple.Welcome to the forum. #11 caps are the standard for rifle nipples. Yes, #11s will be a looser fit than #10s. Nipples are still available in a variety of sizes, always good to have extras. And getting a musket cap conversion nipple is a good idea too. Take a look at the Track of the Wolf website and search the nipple options they offer. Thanks, so if the #tens fit loose #11 will be even looser ? They certainly are available as “brownac1983” says above, but I found them a pain to use as primers are so small and hard to handle especially with gloves on, then near impossible.Sometime ago (maybe 20 years) i bought an adapter that allows me to use small pistol or small rifle primers in place of standard caps. It works quite well. Does anyone know if these adapters are still available?
I'll bet he jumped right on that .....I just called the CEO of Remington, and told him to step up #10 production STAT
I'm bettin' that he'd probably think, OMG 17 redundant pages, "oh my we better step it up"!!Maybe if you copied and pasted these 17 pages and sent it to him that would motivate him.
So what? It’s a discussion.Seriously ~ Really ???? 16 pages on #11 caps and ya ain't figured it out yet???
"HI HO SILVER, AWAY!!"
Has the nipple on your T/C "Hawken" been modified to take the smaller cap? My percussion rifles require a #11 cap.Hello everyone I'm new here like everyone else have no caps. If we make them some caps, maybe they'll find something else to do with their time besides bicker about cap shortagesI'm bettin' that he'd probably think, OMG 17 redundant pages, "oh my we better step it up"!!
and yet you are still participating............If we make them some caps, maybe they'll find something else to do with their time besides bicker about cap shortages
Oh thank you for posting friend....appreciated.I'm only jumping on here because it looks like fun. just to add my 2cents I just got 1000 cci #11 caps from KYGUNCO for $121.89 shipped to my door. Was it more than the last time I bought caps yes was it more than I was willing to pay, duh no.
Thanks I have ordered a #11 nipple, just in case but my # 11 caps should be here soon and I can see what I have to do. I'm also looking for a musket nipple but their all sold out. I have 1100 Musket caps so as soon as I can find a musket nipple I will be good.Has the nipple on your T/C "Hawken" been modified to take the smaller cap? My percussion rifles require a #11 cap.
The T/C nipple cones are sized for the #11 CCI percussion cap. The Remington brand #10 and #11 caps will fit the T/C nipples. The RWS 1075 caps will fit the T/C nipples. The #10 CCI caps are smaller in diameter than the CCI #11 and the Remington #11. The CCI #10 caps may not seat fully on the T/C factory sized nipples. It may take two hits on the cap to get them to fire. The first strike will seat the cap and the second strike will fire it.
