Up for sale is a low miles Numrich Arms rifle from the 70's. I purchased this rifle with plans to use its bones for a custom build, but other opportunities have presented themselves. One bore measures .45, and the other .46. Only one barrel looks as if it was fired a couple of times, cleaned well, and never fired again. I don't think the other barrel has ever been fired. The lockup is very good and tight with no wobble. The bores are excellent. The stock is very nice with hardly any handling marks, and some nice figure to it.
The lock on these rifles was the weak link. This rifle is no exception. The lock and trigger function correctly, with positive half and full cock positions, but the mainspring is weak like many others. Definitely not enough oomph to pop a cap. My plan was to restock and use a vintage back action lock, which there is a decent supply of.
28" barrels
44.75" OAL
14" LOP
3.75" drop at heel
8.5 pound weight
The mainsprings on these rifles are SUPER simple, and with a little bit of tinkering time, this would be an excellent, affordable swivel breech for someone. Shipping and insurance are included @$600
