Round portion is definitely not thick enough to D&T.

Lugs for cross pins are soldered on these barrels routinely without warpage, and a safe bet is low temp soft solder. But, a pin lug is no where near the real estate an under rib is, nor the overall heat exposure.

Double barrel shotguns are soldered together but I've never done it. Some cannot be hot tank blued because the bluing temps risk the solder bond. So that's a building process done with low temp solder and low risk of warping.

A good fit up is part to part soldering 101. I'm a welder/fabricator by trade so making things fit properly is nothing new.....

Yeah, some epoxies are well designed for metal to metal. When I supervised a commercial fabrication door shop we used a high end 3M epoxy to glue some of the nickle-bronze doors together. But, meh, not gonna go there.
