I am thinking of building an Ohio Vincent rifle for my next project. Is this rifle kit too difficult for a person who has no experience drilling any tang or lock bolts or has not done any major or difficult inletting projects. Should I be looking at a full stock insted of a half stock for this first project. My experience so far includes building several Pedersoli kits such as a 50 cal Kentucky rifle, a Harpers Ferry pistol and my current project consisting of a Brown Bess. I also built a Euroarms Zouave kit. All came out very good and I was very pleased. What Vincent is recommended, my research indicates that TOW, Pecatonica and Muzzleloader Builders Supply offers this kit.
