IN GERMAN

Hallo zusammen,

seit einigen Tagen habe ich diesen seltenen/wertvollen Vorderlader.

Heym, Vorläuder der jetzigen Jagdwaffenfirma

GL: 126,0 cm

- Baujahr
- Stil und Technik
- etc

FRAGE II:
Auch Literaturhinweise wären sehr interessant.
Wo kann ich dazu "was lesen"?

Danke und Gruß FM

In English,
I would suggest writing to the company (yes they exist). You are writing in German, the Rifle is German, the producing company is German”¦.
:idunno:

Thank you gentleman.

Of course I had contact the new firm Heym, but after some wars, the russian invasion, pp., they had absolutly nothing for old infos.

That is the reason, why I come to you.
The experts!!!
:)

Your rifle reminds me of some I saw in Germany which were intended for the sport of 'Vogelschiessen', or, shooting at the popinjay - a wooden bird target atop a tall, wooden pole.
The rather large caliber for a percussion rifle, and the apparent base for a target-type rear sight make me think it might be worthwhile for you to do some research on German rifles of that type.
Good Luck!

Dietrich Appel at the German Gun Collectors Guild (comes right up on Goggle) would be a very good person to contact (as suggested above). It's a gun that I would expect him to be interested in helping you with.

Your firearm is very nice  It has that distinctive Suhl triggerguard on it too.
