I saw it on a good friends trade table.

Funny thing was that it fit the hand really well. It was a little off balance. Think I knew what the original maker was trying for.. Sad....neglected knife.




Am going to give her a good home. I spent the better part of an hour with dye and my 72" knife grinder. Gave her my version of a Nessmuk pattern. Quickly refinished the antler. I am going to carve a face into the button. Maybe a little file work on the guard. New leather sheath in a old pattern when all is done.

The dark area in the hollow grind is dye. Think I will neutralize it and call it good. :)

I agree. The first photo looks like a vintage knife. The re-do looks like a modern blade with an antler handle. IMO
