did navy arms make their own barrels or did some one else make them for them

Navy Arms didn't make anything, they were an importer. Most, if not all of their offerings came from Italy. They did have some Parker Hale and Ithaca guns assembled using parts they had bought but most of their stuff was run of the mill Italian. Which of their guns are you asking about?

I was wanting to no about a barrel that is for sale they said it is a navy arms barrel 36 cal oct

the barrel is in the white and not drilled for drum it does have breach plug with tang

If the price is good I would use it.

Numrich used to have Navy Arms, Investarms and a couple more I cant remember barrels for sale. Some breeched, some not etc.

Usually in the 50-100 buck range depending on the exact specs.

More than suitable for building anything with a shorter, straight barrel (later Ohio half-stocks etc).
