I have my 2nd great grandfather’s percussion rifle. I believe it is a 45 cal., weight 9.6 # ; length 57”, brass trigger guard, pewter butt plate and engraved on top what seems to be H. Shultz . The rifle was probably made in the mid to early 1800s. My GG grandfather* lived around what is Franklin Co., PA and migrated to what is Indiana Co., PA *John Stake: DOB 6 Oct 1812; DOD 24 Mar 1885.

I would like to find out more about this rifle, the gunsmith who made it and other related information.
