Hi,

Picked up an older Thompson Hawken .50 caliber today at a yardsale, the blue is pretty much gone but the brass and wood are excellent. After alot of brushing and patches and hot water I got the bore cleaned up pretty well. It's not pitted but it sure was not put-up properly.

Any ideas how old this rifle might be? Serial no. K4914, only other markings are Thompson Center Arms CAL 50 and their address . . .

Thanks

The 'K' indicates it was a 'Kit' rifle...all of TC's records were lost in the big fire that destroyed their plant back in the early 90's, so they have no records they can reference.

However, you might call the service dept. and ask around...maybe some long-time employee might be able to give you at least a general timeframe from memory
