roundball: The link you supplied goes to a post that appearently has been removed so I have no idea what it said or why it was removed.
The rules dealing with this issue are:
# Participants may not use the Forums to post advertisements or commercial solicitations of any kind. Do not post links to your commercial web site or post unsolicited photos of your merchandise. Links to your site may go in your profile.
# You may not use your business name as your Display Name.
# Do not post links to other Muzzleloading Forums.

The way I read this it says you may not post advertisements.
I don't think that saying TOTW frinkled up an order is an advertisement.
Simply saying you recieved a part or kit or whatever and love it from TOTW is not being considered an advertisement at the present time.
It says you cannot post a commercial solicitation meaning you cannot offer your services or products for sale in a post.
You cannot post links to
YOUR website or even offer to make a item or fix a part for a fee. You may give this link to your own website in your "profile" which anyone can see if they click on your name in a post.
You may not post pictures of your merchandise.
This one enters a vague area because at the present time you MAY post pictures of your item providing the reason is simply to share it with the other members to discuss and enjoy.
If there is
any reference to selling the item by you, or to your making a similar one for other members it will be interpretated as a solicitation.
I think the rule about giving yourself a name like "Dixie Gunworks" is pretty self explaining.
Note that posting links to other Muzzleloading forums deals only with muzzleloading forums.
It does not deal with links to TOTW, Dixie, Green Mountain, Chambers etc UNLESS you happen to own or work for the one being mentioned. If you own them or work for them it gets back to being a solicitation.
With these thoughts in mind, I am sure I can say:
The latest gun I am working on is a Bucks Co style with a Rice Barrel. I recieved it from **** Greensides, owner of Pecatonica River Longrifle Supply Co.
The reason it has a Rice barrel is the Colerain swamped barrel he normally uses was not available at the time so **** went out of his way to order and supply the Rice swamped barrel.
Appearantly there is a slight difference in the swamping between the Rice and the Colerain barrels. He had cut the barrel channel for the Colerain and I had to enlarge it in a few places for the Rice barrel to fit.. Other than that, I'm happy.
As I said before, it you want to name companys in your posts you may. If you want to give links to companys you don't own or work for, you may.
I guess while I'm at it I might mention that you cannot post links to Auction houses.
Although a member has found a screaming deal and can't wait to share it with others, it is against the rules. This is primarily because in a week or so, when the item is sold or removed, the link will be useless, leaving a post with a link to nowhere.
