My dad brought his rifle to sight in before deer season. Loaded and fired. Huge recoil. 2 holes in target. He hadn’t unloaded after the last season. When he died this year we saw that in the safe was that rifle with a piece of tape on the stock that said loaded. Yes I disagree with his practice, but at least he learned to label it.
 
I fired at station one and reloaded immediately. Then I moved to station two and loaded again. Was afraid to shoot it out..
 
Couple days ago I seated two .490 round balls in my Trapper pistol. I suspected that i might have but it was seated tight and i figured two 147 grain round balls are not even as bad as one 370g maxi ball so i pulled the trigger. 25g of 777 3f. it kicked pretty hard and I missed the steel plate I was aiming at but other than that no harm done.. Wish i was shooting paper as it would have been nice to see what kind of pattern ?

Actually in line matches it is good to know where your pistol shoots with a double ball in case you are running out of time. Two 5's beats a zero.
