For those of you that have one of each, what do you take opening day of deer season, flintlock or percussion?

Does it depend on the weather?

Flintlocks...
.45cal throttled back for October squirrels;
.58cal throttled up for November deer;

Look MM another sleep deprived soul to join us during the wee hours of the morning.
In late m/l season PA only allows us the privelege of using a flintlock. As far as weather, if it is snowing no problem. If it is raining, no problem. I just roll over and keep on sleeping in my nice warm bed. :haha:

This year it will be my 54 cal. TVA, Leman, flint. Years past has seen either flint or perc. but more often than not one of my Sharps or doubles has put the meat in the freezer.
