Was unpacking some items from the estate and found this horn, IIRC this was with a lot of rifles we donated to the Sutters Fort State park in Sacramento circa 1980 and were display at the time. The rifles were 2 percussion and a lockless flint long rifle. They we given to us by a fellow who said they were from a reservation in Calaveras or Tuolumne county. For some reason I kept the horn. Just curious if it was an original or a old reproduction,

I don't know but it looks like it could be a really well cared for original. Plain and simple, nice looking utilitarian horn.
I always thought so. The rifles and other stuff were verified as original and looked the part as Native American. Sorry i parted with them and the other items but they weren't valued much at the time. If i ever find the knife will post it. I do not know if the rifles are still on display but doubt it.
