Skip the 4f an get all 3f. Use 3f for both load and prime an it will work just fine. I can tell no difference when priming with 4 vs 3

I don't agree. Most of us flinters prefer 4Fg for priming. Regardless of the tests, we prefer it. Get 1 lb. of the 4Fg and four pounds of the 3Fg. The larger 3Fg will not work in a primer nozzle and a lot of us use and like them.

I wouldn't say "most". Perhaps most of the folks you know use 4f for priming. Most of the folks I know use 3f for both priming and main charge. There is a measurable difference using scientific instruments to measure the speed between the two, but no way you could tell the difference without them.

Another thing to consider is that if you are using it for part of a hunting load and you are in any kind of humidity, you will need to clean it out of the pan and replace the prime numerous times throughout the day because it absorbs moisture and turns to soup in the pan much more quickly than 3f in humid weather.

Nonetheless, I think it's a good idea to get one can of 4f along with 4 cans of 3f on your first order. Then you can compare how they work in your rifle and decide for yourself which one you like. If you don't like using 4f and the separate powder horn/charger needed for it, you can give it to someone who does and you'll know at that point what you like because you've tried both. Plenty of folks at target ranges use it or even a finer baby powder-like granulation called Null-B and they would be happy to take it off your hands.
