Original rifle from the Jamestown school of North Carolina. Signed Evan Johnson rifle. Well known rifle maker of the area. Nice architecture and features overall. 55" overall length. 39" octagonal barrel somewhere between .36 and .40 caliber. Double triggers. Lock and triggers work as they should. Pewter nosecap. English made lock. Underlug, lower barrel flats, and side plate are all wriggle engraved by Evan Johnson. Nice example of a Southern rifle. Since I've owned this I have wondered if the brass tacks were added by the maker or maybe a Cherokee customer. Looking to get $525 shipped to the lower 48 states.
