I have not removed the nipple or ever shot it. The channel is clear as air flows through it

I would consider buying this if the nipple is removable and if you test fire it to be sure it is actually safe to shoot.
I don't need a wall hanger and although this is a beautiful historical musket, I don't run a museum. I would buy it for the fun of actually shooting an original musket. I don't want to have it blow up in my face though. If the nipple is frozen in place, I would never be able to properly clean it.

When I got it, it had an old oily rag stuffed down into the breech

Why is a date required? It has never been an issue before? I just don’t understand

I have some .69 minie and some double ff of course

I will test fire it today, supply pics and card date

2. Test fired and safe to shoot - check.
3. Not just a wall hanger - check.
4. Won't blow up in your face - check.
5. Nipple not frozen - check.
6. Very shootable condition - check.
7. Gun not just a wall hanger because you don't have a museum - check.
8. Ability to properly clean the nipple - check.
9. Ability to shoot an original musket as required to confirm your purchase - check and check.
