This one has been there and done that. The first action this pistol likely saw was in the Walcheren Campaign in 1809. The 12th Dragoons also fought in the Peninsular War under Wellington where they fought in 8 battles or sieges. They made two charges at Salamanca and after Napoleon's return they fought at Waterloo. This pistol being an earlier version with the safety likely saw all of that. This one has better markings than most with the 12 LD on the trigger guard and E41 rack number on the butt cap so we know it served in E Troop. The barrel markings are partially obliterated. I've made no attempt to clean it so those marks may clean up some. Has an 1805 storekeeper mark on the stock. Barrel is still quite thick. Repair the mainspring and clean up the barrel and there's no reason you couldn't use this one. It came with the wrong mainspring. I will include one that is a near fit which should work fine for it. Can't beat the history on this one. $1500 plus shipping from 24426. I accept PayPal (you pay any fees), Venmo, Zelle, cash app, check or money order
