I hope so too , but with the current popularity of inlines , I don't know if the market can sustain a large scale manufacter of traditional muzzleloading supplies . Being a high school dropout though , I could be wrong (I hope). We might have to go back to the old ways . I think I might be able to make my own "bore butter" from beeswax and crisco :hmm: .

Don't know about these folks and they may not be what you are looking for but I found it on the net and pass it along .
looks like they make a variety of items.

Major bummer. :(

I'm further stocking up on Wads and Patches as I write this.

Some other outfit will likely step in or step up.
Hope so and soon.

I contacted Track of The Wolf about Ox-Yoke,and they said that a fire destroyed their factory, inventory, and machinery, many months ago.Litagation with their insurance company has delayed reconstrution, and a "White Knight" buyer is considering buying it to infuse it with cash to help it rapidly rebuild. In the meantime they said that shipments continue but at a slower pace, and they have a fair supply of most items. They said that it might be wise to order accordingly and plan for spot shortages for the next year or two.
I assume that TOW would have the right story on this since they sell so much of their product.I always like to check with a informed source before jumping to conclusions.

That's strange...I've talked with a contact at Thompson Center and with the owners at October Country about the OxYoke situation...in particular, OxYoke is a major supplier for T/C's prelubed patches, lubed cleaning & seasoning patches, #13 cleaner, Natural Lube 1000, etc, etc...no mention made of a fire at all during the conversation about OxYoke...one contact might have assumed I knew that and didn't mention it, but for neither of those contacts to mention a fire is a real puzzler

Ya see Stumpy? Ah tol ye we war a gonna get rich, but Youuuuuu says, Oh No. Ah wants ta be a kind guy un shar it with tha wourld . . .

The one way to really screw up something you enjoy is to try and make a living at it. Look at poor 'ol Stumblin Buffler. Yankin out tufts 'o his already sparse hair a'cause he thunk he had a good idear bringin news among us heathens. He ain't had a hot meal or a cold beer in three months. He ain't taken poor Skanky (his gen-u-wine Frankenstein Palaytpus hat) out for a proper walk since the ice broke up off the river. An ye knows how that critter hates bein cooped up. Durned thing near set my leggin afire by friction last time I paid a visit. Ask SB about now whether he'd rather have an hour to himself in the sunshine or $25 in cash money.

No sir, you want it, you do the work. I just do the thinkin parts.

Long as I can afford fish hooks, powder and flints I'm all set. Nightcrawlers and lead can be found for free. A body gets greedy and all sorts of miserable things begin happenin.

I figgur there ain't much I gots to lay out on St. Peter's blanket what's gonna get me in the Pearly Forest. Leastwise I can say: "I was devoted to THE ADMIRAL, told the truth . . . mostly, had a dog what loved me, and I shared what I had."

I'd say Ox-Yoke has either completely run aground and either sold it's assets through consolidation and will hopefully emerge as a new company or a division of another or has gotten a loan to pay back taxes and re-structure.

Or, they are history.

From a websearch regarding layoffs:
Ox-Yoke Originals, Inc.
Milo, ME
The formation of a new Piscataquis County Transition Team will assist workers who are expected to be laid off from the Ox-Yoke Originals factory in Milo. The gun care and shooting accessories company announced yesterday that it is shutting down operations in Milo, resulting in a loss of jobs for 25 full time employees and a number of part time workers.
Approximate Affected Workforce: 1-50

Doesn't sound like anything abrupt happened...looks like a gradual decline

Unless you were one of the folks that lost your job.

Perhaps the folks in Ox-Yoke Management were planning on this.

::

According to a local Milo community bulleting board, this was a fairly abrupt event. The fact that Ox-Yoke had tax issues was common knowledge, the other hand that they closed up shop permanently versus a two week shutdown was a surprise.
