Oxidized balls, think they will be a problem?

I hadn't shot black powder for 7 years after my last move and discovered all my stock of round balls were oxidized. It caused a problem loading .490 with .018 patches - WAY too tight. I got some .010 patches and now the loading is normal. I haven't done any bench work to see if my group has changed but was pleased with my score on a trail walk 6/1.
