I have for sale my 54 cal. rifle that I ordered custom made in Sept. 1981, From Ozark Mtn. Arms, in Branson, Missouri! It has a AAA Maple stock, which has a little wear on forearm from carrying these last 38 years! Finally have to give up my black powder hunting! Father time has caught up to me! Damn! It's in great condition & a straight shooter! I has 1 solid brass tack under stock for the 1st. Whitetail buck that I harvested, many years ago! Price is $1200.00 cash! Must pick up in Michigan! Will not ship! Too old to go through the hassle! (83)!View attachment 152314View attachment 152316View attachment 152317
Is this rifle still available for sale?

Beautiful rifle. I'm building myself a 54 modeled after the 1792 Contract rifle. Trying to decide if I'll cut barrel to 36".. 38" to make it into a Lewis & Clark rifle. With my poor near vision, I really want that front sight far away. Decisions, decisions?

So the gun is no longer for sale?
They were talking about Ozark Mtn Arms no longer being in business, not that the rifle had sold. Have you sent a PM to the OP to buy the rifle? Sounds like you two are close enough to arrange a deal. Good luck.

My father had one of these ozark mnt arms hawkens amd it was a tack driver very good quality. They were built with Ron Long lock and L&R triggers added with a 1" Green Mountain barrel wonderful rifle!!

O'Kicker is what I called her! Really cracked when I touched her off with 100grs. FFF! She'll put the ball where ya want her if you can hold steady!

Just for curiosity why is the name on your for sale paper different from your forum name?
Hmm? Not sure what happened! I recently subscribed as a yearly member and that might be the name I put down, even though my classified user name is Shamrock! My goof,I guess! Thanks!
