Ive been gearing up and practicing a ton lately; with anticipation for the Muzzleloader Bear season here in PA. How many others hunt bear with flintlocks? I’m curious to hear the stories. This will be our first year giving it a try. We’ll have a gang of guys driving the steep mountain sides and fighting our way through the thick Laurel patches in north eastern PA.

Have bought a bear tag the last couple of years since seeing them regular enough the last few years. Have not gotten one with mzl yet, did get one with bow last year though.
A PA bear with a bow is an awesome feat! Congratulations!

Thanks! Didn't see any during the muzzleloader week but the following week this guy came out smelling my doe pee. Since they were still in, was able to take him. Hopefully I get a chance with the .58 this year. Not seeing as many on camera but they're still around.
