I'm new to mling and I just bought a gpr with lots of acc. for $360 which I guess was a pretty good deal :) But the other day I was at walmart and they have a tc pa hunter for $200. I thought that sounded like a pretty good deal. Is it ::

If that rifle was at my Wal Mart it would not be there very long... Yes that is a good deal..

Thats a great deal, My wonderful wife bought one for me 9 years ago and paid 320.00 for it back then. T/C does not make that rifle any more and I can tell you it is a good shooter. I use a .495 RB with .015 patch with 80 Gr. FF Goex.  :redthumb:

stopped at walmart today and picked it up. And after a little, OK alot, of convincing  my wife said I could keep it :) I had to explain to her that every mler should have a carbine to go along with their gpr, you know how heavy a long rifle gets after a long day of hunting. So anyway, how accurate is this little 22" barrel?

A 22" barrel will be just fine in the accuracy department. I have a Knight Wolverine II with a 22" barrel that will shoot circles around a lot of other rifles. It will all depend on how accuracte a load you work up, and how well you practice with it. Congratulations of the rifle. Sounds like a dandy. Keep us posted.. ::

was it the last 1? i shoot the longer ones excellently with conicals, for $200 i will go wherever to get the carbine for $200

The walmart is in shamokin, PA. The gun they had on the rack was a LR and I told the guy I wanted it, he went back for the box and came back with a carbine. Which I bought, but as of yesterday they still had a LR on the shelf.
