this fellow is, like, a national treasure and super master machinist, isn't he? don't tell me that he's a retired Art History professor and builds this incredible stuff in his basement - please - i'm intimidated just looking at it!

What made you deside on this particular wheellock
to build. The Ambrose pictures are not enough information to reconstruct this pistol. I assume you scaled all the parts from pictures using the barrel length of 15 1/4". Where did you get the pictures of the inside workings of this lock.
