Good evening!
I was wondering if someone could explain what the benefits are to different pan angles. In particular I an looking at the French and American muskets. The slanted pan is said to be an improvement on the 1777, but the US ditched it with the 1835/40. I haven't heard of any reason for or against the slanted, only whether or not it is present.
