The only reason I'd own it would be to sell it. My tastes lean more toward simple SMRs and other basically unadorned longrifles.
My taste and yours are much the same, my best shooting rifle is about as plain as they come. However, if someone walked up to me and offered that rifle as a gift I probably wouldn't sell it or shoot it.
