hey guys i was wondering if there was a way to make a nice paper cartridge for my smoothbore using shot?
i've seen a ton of roundball ideas but i use my smoothbore mostly for squirrel.
If it helps at all its a TC .56 cal renegade
I've seen a few ways to make "shot cups" i was just wondering if there was a way to make em with the powder incorporated instead of just a cup?

thanks in advance guys
Mike

I make them the same way you would for a round ball cartridge but I use a overpowder card to separate the shot from the powder.

Roll the tube. Close one end like a coin roll. Add the shot. Insert an overpowder card. Add the powder. Twist the top closed. Now you have everything you need to load in one cartridge.

For a .56 smoothbore you could use a 1/2" dowel and instead of an overpowder card (which will be too big) just use some tow wadding to separate the shot and powder.

Printer paper will work just fine but I cheat and use these from Smiling Fox Forge: https://www.dkiempire.com/Secure/smilingfox/details.asp?id=78
