I think this post is about using paper as a patch between the ball and the bore of the rifle.
If the paper is Nitrated, isn't that just asking for it to be vaporized as it passes down the bore?
If it was vaporized as it passes down the bore, what is sealing the ball?
Wouldn't that be similar to using a very poor grade of cloth that burns thru when the gun is fired?
IMO, cloth that burns thru when it's fired is a chief factor in poor accuracy.
Maybe another idea is to treat the paper with Borax? That is a fire retardant. Then again, it is also a mineral that could wear the rifleing.
