Got one more that I finished last week. Not too fancy, just yer run of the mill elk handled necker with a lead ferrule and mustard etch.
The sheath is what is nice. Miss Tudy made a patckwork rawhide outer overlay with leather washers and 3 old steel rivets. She then embellished it with a bone button and used cordage for the neck thong. Have a look see and hope y'all like...Bud & Miss Tudy

Beautiful knife. I know you are proud of it. But, hey, how 'bout getting a better picture of Miss Tudy's sheath. It looks like a dandy and worthy of carrying such a nice knife. Tell us more about the knife and about Miss Tudy's sheath.

The knife is made from 1080HC with a lead ferrule and has an elk tine for the haft, overall it is about 5".
The sheath is elk rawhide patches sewn together over a veg tanned inner sheath. The washers are also veg tanned and held by antique steel rivets, the bone is deer leg. The finish is homemade walnut dye... Hope this explains it, Bud

looks uncomfortable to use. way to front heavy and the tapered back makes for a easy slip

He's just cutting a patch :idunno: not skinning a buffalo.

It is a great looking knife.
