You are correct.

What happened was "jumping". IF you were a seller, posting a FOR SALE ad, then first person to answer to your ad would be the buyer.

However, this is a WANTED ad, and ALL offers to sell are supposed to be to the OP ONLY.

The "buyer" in the above should've posted his own WANTED ad, but instead communicated to the person making the offer TO docholl, apparently by PM, in effect BUTTED IN, and bought the item out from under docholl.

We're going to close this ad and start over.
