My local PBS station is broadcasting their F&I War series "The War That Made America". This appears to be a re-broadcast, so I expected to find a discussion of it here, but couldn't find one in the archives.

If you're interested, I've attach the link to my station below. It should lead you to your own station's listings and PBS's related material for the series.

Has anyone seen this series? Any comments on it's historic authenticity?

I've seen it and it's pretty good. It's not gonna please everybody but I think it's a lot better than some other doc's I've seen on the subject.

I plan on adding it to my personal library for my kids to watch when they get a little older and can better absorb it all (My oldest is 2 and the youngest is 2 weeks so if it ain't curious george they won't watch it now).

As far as authenticity, I think the producers did a pretty good job of balancing accuracy and trying to appeal to the broader masses. I give it a "GO".
