If I have pecatonica do the inletting and such will it be "in the white"or will I still have to send it to a builder to be put "in the white"?
Yes and no. Kit sellers use the term "in the white" meaning a gun is fully assembled and just needs finishing. Here's how it's described on Kibler's site:OP does not seem to understand what the term "in the white" means. It simply means the barrel and other iron parts have not been browned or blued. Has nothing to do with inletting. Although the comments on that part are accurate. Not a job for a beginner.
That is Kiblers description (NOT OTHERS) , try not confusing the new comers !Yes and no. Kit sellers use the term "in the white" meaning a gun is fully assembled and just needs finishing. Here's how it's described on Kibler's site:
"A gun provided "in the white" will be completely assembled and functional. The wood will need sanded and finished. The metal will also benefit from some cleanup."
A Pecatonica kit certainly can be a job for a “beginner”. Ask me how I knowOP does not seem to understand what the term "in the white" means.
