Pecatonica Rifles

Hello,looking at one of this companys rifles,just wondering if they offer any gunsmithing services with their rifles when you order from them such as drilling and tapping for the vent liner,cutting dovetail,etc,also hows the quality of their parts,wood etc,thanks in advance

Most of the people from this board, and the other boards, have had excellent products and service from them. I checked their goods out at Friendship and would not hesitate to order from them. Actually, I am planning to pick up one of their stocks at the fall shoot, if they attend.

Pecatonica does all the machining you want them to do and their prices are better than most.

I have used their services and paid for inletting and drilling.
Most times when you call you will get dick"owner"
I ask about their drilling and inletting services, as it seems vague and maybe alittle misleading on their site.
What he told me was they can cut dovetails, install barrel lugs, drill RR channel, 95% inlet lock and inlet barrel but only 95% of the tang as this area depends on the customer. Triggers are 90% inlet and the can inlet the butt plate for an additional fee.
They do not drill flash hole or lock plate or side plate, tang to trigger as this changes from gun to gun.
The quality of there stock I believe is very high, I do wish though I had left the forearm square and formed it down myself as this sure makes the drilling easer.

However I want people to know this.
I rushed them, I mean really 100% rushed them to get me components out in 3 days, and wanted them to my door in 5 with next day air. I called constant and after the package was late I called every other day. I can be a companies worst nightmare the first time I order, Dick held his ground , never lost his cool and delivered everything he said he would , he is a good man and earned my trust .

I've delt with Pecatonica several times, and they are the best. I've talked to Dick several time, both on the phone and in person and he's a great guy to deal with. They're stocks are the best I've used. If you want something special just ask. They make stocks for many other distibuters and they may have a run of what you want other then what they normaly offer in they're catalog. I asked for and got a Tulle stock inletted for a Caywood 24ga swamped barrel and got it.
