I was wondering about others experience on Pecatonica River stocks for TC rifles. I have a TC Renegade 50 cal that has a mfg. finish and synthetic butt plate. I was wondering about putting a Pecatonica full stock grade 3 with a steel butt plate for the renegade. Later on I could buy a gm dropin 62 cal. smoothbore barrel and have the best of both worlds.
The reason why I am not going to a half stock is I already have two half stock rifles and I think a full stock would look great.

here's my g4 from them on my T/C hawken .50....if i thought bout it i would have gone full stock................bob

Have used their stocks and have no problems... good folks to deal with.

This is a grade 2 stock I got in kit I'm putting together from Pecatonica..

I restocked this TC with Pecatonicas least expensive #1 Curley Maple. Seems it set me back about $85 back then.
Times have changed so now I believe their price is around $93. Check their price list.

The reason I restocked this gun is because I wanted the gun to have a pull length that fit me, and more importantly, I didn't like the factory TCs drop.
The Petaconica River stock has quite a bit more drop to it, so the barrel lines up with my eye much better.

I stained it with BC Colonial Brown (no longer available) and it has a rather red cast to it, but it is not as red as this picture makes it look.

Thanks for the replies, they all look great and you answered me about their reliablity. The renegade is a nice rifle but it is a little to modern for me. I figured to make it more traditional looking with a full stock. It was my Dad's so it has sentimental value to me, so I figured to do a little work on it to make it what I want, thanks all..
:peace:

It's not a T/C, but a GPR. This is an M-3 stock. Their stocks are fantastic quality and I understand they supply stocks to TOW.

Rick,

I'm not fimilar with M-3 stocks? What is the companies name, address and do they have a web site?

Thanks and remember to pray for our troops.

Yes, it's a maple stock, 3 grade. Kind of the middle of the road stock. I would have graded it a little higher myself.
