I've gotten them that were extremes at both ends of the quality scale. I've had good luck with their Kentucky pistol stocks. I bought a Late Lancaster from them for the wife's rifle at one of their booths. After I got home I saw that the forestock was bent to the left, rotated to the left and curved upwards all at the same time!!
I can only assume it was still a little green and not quite aged/dried enough. I decided to make this a learning experience and try to make it work. After several months, I got it straight and it turned out to be a nice rifle. That was two years ago and it still holding it shape real good.
I ordered an Early Lancaster CM2 stock from them for my cross sticks rifle last Sept.. I'm a little disappointed, it looks more like a CM1. However, Dick's an expert at judging wood, so, I'm hoping the real beaty shows when it's finished. It's happened to me before.
