PRICE UPDATE : If you're not interested in the Carved Stock, and plan to use an Aftermarket replacement stock, I will sell the rest of the kit for $600.00 plus shipping costs. If you would like the stock, the price has been reduced to $800.00 plus shipping.
Pictures of the carved are shown in this Ad. This kit was purchased in 1979. 2 kits wee purchased at the time and one was completed. We have now started downsizing for a future move. The kit is in perfect shape, since it was always stored in a heated closet, in the house. The finished Bess was fired several times, and was pretty accurate. It now hangs over our Fireplace. See pictures below. It appears Kits sell for between $1000 and $1200. The kit was purchased from a local dealer but originated
from Navy Arms in NJ. The kit was not purchased with a Bayonet, Powder Horn, or sling. The Carvings are beautiful. Marked as GRICE 1762. If your looking for a special gift for Christmas, or a Winter project, you will end up with a "Bess" that is only 2 of a kind. Now Asking $800 with the stock, $600 w/o the stock, plus shipping costs in either case.
