I have a Pedersoli Kodiak Express double rifle in .58 cal. I also have the optional 12ga barrel set that is matched to the gun. I tend to keep things when I get them. But, I have been drooling over the Safari in .72. I really don't keep up with used gun prices, so if someone could tell me what I could expect to get for the .58 w/the extra 12ga barrels I would appreciate it.

Man alive I have the same gun with the extra barrels as well. To the right buyer I would say 450-700 range depending on condition for a mildly used double. I seen one go this past January on a gun auction site for 475 with a extra set of 50 cal barrels.

Whow, they do drop in price when used. I would love the safari. I think I'll just keep my .58 and hunt a used .72.
How do you like yours? I really like mine. Most people either love or hate them.

I love it but it is heavy and definatly needs a sling to get around with it in the woods. Some complain they have issues with the barrels not hitting the same point of impact and mine don't come together until around 100 yards where I get the best groups when using both barrels. The 12 ga barrels are fun and used for rabbit blasting and occasional jump shooting ducks. I still want to take it after grizzlies.

Before buying it for hunting, be sure to check out your States Hunting Regulations for black powder muzzleloader hunts.

Some States will not permit double barrel guns for those hunts.

Course, you could use it for the High Power Rifle hunts because those hunts allow repeating rifles.

So far I love mine. Mine seems to come together at 80. Not a match gun but can keep rounds in a paper plate. I have a friend that lives on Kodiak Island he keeps asking me to come up and hunt. I would love that but, a hunt for a non-resident is really expensive. A Brown bear rug would look good in my den. Or a nice Sitka deer.
