Evening!
For sale I have an unfired pedersoli jaeger, I finished out from a kit.
First kit I’ve done in some time, and very much enjoyed the process. I’m selling to fund another kit build of some kind, and I guess as long as I don’t loose out too terribly much, consider it worth it, being able to do something I enjoy.
Anyways, specs are 28” barrel, 1:24 twist. Nice piece of walnut. Iron mounts.
I chose this piece with the intention of using it for hunting, liking the overall handiness with the shorter barrel, percussion ignition, sling mounts, nice comfortable butt plate and comb, and the fast conical/bullet twist rate.
I have the pedersoli mold for the conical recommended for this barrel as well, unopened in package, would be happy to sell additionally if interested. I believe it makes a 420 or something grain bullet?
Anyways, I put a skinner barrel mounted peep on it, but can switch out for original rear sight. I must say these work really well, for me at least, and although it takes away a bit from the traditional vibe, makes good sense for what I was going to be using it for. They pull up really nice and I can shoot much better with them than with buckhorns.
I think i did a decent job finishing it, definitely better than a factory finished pedersoli in my opinion, but I guess in some cases that’s not saying much lol!! Added a shadow line to cheek piece which I think turned out pretty cool.
Finished with Permalyn sealer, bone black for some patina. Iron parts were finished with the jax brass black and rubbed back.
Dixie gun works has them listed at $1200/kit, $1500/finished gun, and I’d just like to get my money back out of it.
Please message me with any questions.
$975 plus shipping and insurance from AK, (I’d imagine somewhere between $60-$100)
