I have been shooting this pistol at the 25 yd range with pretty good results. I moved back to the 50 yd line and was surprised at the drop. That round ball is dropping 5 to 6 inches at 50 yd.
I was shooting at a 6 inch bull and could aim at the top edge and hit the bottom edge. With 40 grains of 3f.

That sounds about right. gota remember that this isnt a rifle and is intended for closer in work.
With your sights as they are, shoot 3 shot groups with the same load at a target at 15, 20, 25, 30,35, 40, 45 and 50 yards. This will give you a picture of your ball's arc, point blank zero ect.
your round ball will intersect line of sight twice, its up to ypu to find out where!
I know with both my 50's, a trapper and a wm parker, they are 25 dead on, and 3 inch low at 50 yds. 490 rb, .015 patch and 15 gr 3F goex. using the 6" bull, it is easy for me to compensate the drop at longer distance, and on trail walks, I simply hold on the upper edge of the clangers and such.
