I got my Pedersoli Kentucky .50 out Today. I was shooting balls made from a bag mold. With thirty-five grains of 3f goex and an over powder wad. With a .010 patch and Bird dog 6's liquid lube. This gun will really shoot! I shot the target below at fifteen yards. To finish the day off , I shot a goex can off a stump at fifty yards. I was not foolish enough to try it a second time. I know when to call it a day. :rotf:

That is good for a flintlock. I shoot about 22 grains in a Traditions .50 caplock and get great accuracy until my arm gets tired. 35 gives a stout kick. I can consistantly hit a 100 yard target with 35-40 grains. I had a flintlock kentucky pistol years ago and was always thrilled when I actually hit what I was aiming at.

Don't be so hard on the rocklock. That is an accurate pistol. It got me into 4th place in the pistol aggregate last weekend at the fall shoot. The top 3 were all shooting Patriots.

I use 30 grains of 3f, a .490 ball and .010 patch. It is a tight combo to push down the bore, but it is accurate.
