Pedersoli Mortimer 12 gauge - with choke tubes ??

I just picked one up yesterday, 2 bead sights on it along with Browning Invector size choke tubes
Is this a custom job ? I can't find a speck of info ever mentioning choke tubes on a Mortimer.

Yes SxS's, but Mortimer ?

Digging more it seems the Mortimer shotgun barrel was ribbed. This one has a pair of beads like my unmentionable trap gun.
I'm leaning towards the rib was removed by the machinist who put in the choke tubes and he placed the beads in the holes where the rib was attached.
I could be wrong

Because it's a manufacturing plug used to drill the flash channel to the touch hole. Neither one is intended to be removed until the touch hole is burned out then only the touch hole liner is replaced.
