I have been wanting a brown bess trade gun kit from dixie. So after a year of putting alittle aside I had what i needed to order the gun and then the news in 03 the kit was $600 and in 04 it was $665 and now it has gone up to $775 for the kit.Cabelas has the the 2nd model for $799. Can someone tell me a reason for such a jump in price and is there anywhere else I could order the trade gun kit from. :hmm:

The Euro is stronger than the dollar so, the price of all products from countries using the new money is going up. Plus everything in general is going up that is linked to gas/freight/shipping. These guns are not in high demand so the supply-demand factor is also at work. :m2c: which will now cost you three.

:hmm: I have always thought that when a gun's price jumps upwards, its a form of gun control...

Actually it's only gun control for us po' working folks...

The affluent will ALWAYS have their "Armed Gestapo" and they already pay exorbitant prices for highly customized and personalized firearms.

Remember back when firearms were very young... only the wealthy could afford them then... it wasn't until the common man was able to have a gun that those "blasted Colonials" started fighting back against "Mother England"

Indeed, some people do think so. I remember when UPS announced that due to theft within their organization they would ship handguns only by the more expensive "Overnight" delivery. That added about twenty bucks to the cost of any handgun and especially hit small dealers like myself who rely entirely on UPS delivery. The good liberals of National Public Radio could scarcely contain their glee, They clearly considered it a victory for the good guys.
They don't mind theivery if it makes life a little harder for the honest gun owner. :imo:

So is everything else.Blackpowder has gone from about $225 per case to around $260 in less than a year.

Seems like everything in the world is going up but my wages :: :curse:
