Not trying to tell you what to do.Unless you want the Frontier to shoot for yourself,you would be better off getting a used Thompson Center Hawken or Renegade. Easy to find,simple to handle,very reliable.The Frontiers are very spendy,even used. Should see if he likes the sport first. But if you gotta have a Frontier,I have a unfired percussion,.54 I might let go.Good luck!

Are you looking for a flintlock or percussion? I have an unfired .36 percussion Frontier or a very little fired Blue Ridge ( same as Frontier with a blues barrel) .50 flint. Greg

I have a Pedersoli percussion .45 I'd let go for $550. It is lite and stays on point. I have not shot it,,,,, yet.

I have two pedersoli 36 advertised. A frontier and a frontier deluxe. Never fired. One is flint the other percussion.

I have a Dixie Pennsylvania .50 cal flint that could work for you. It’s an older one. Lock sparks like crazy and it’s a tack driver. Its great that you’re helping get someone started.
