Pedersoli Scout Rifle - Experiences

I'm looking at buying the Pedersoli Scout Rifle, but haven't found much information about it. Anyone have experience or knowledge about it? Thanks!

I do not have a lot of rounds through it yet, but so far I am very happy with it. Mine is a flint in .45, and it is pretty light and handy.

Mine is a cap lock in .50 caliber. I hunted with one for a few years in the early '90s and loved the light, fast handling. Just acquired one a few months ago, again. A little short in LOP, but still handles great. I had to tune the trigger a bit to get a crisp pull.

I built the .50 caliber percussion kit and love it. short, lite, and reasonably accurate. The barrel twist on the .50 is 1 in 32 that is a bit fast for a patched ball but I shoot off hand all the time and my 70 year old eyes aren't helping either. I would't hesitate purchasing another one if they made it in 32 or 36.

While I don't own one, I like the look of the scout carbine. Last year, I bought a Traditions Tennessee rifle. It's similar to the scout. Had I known at the time, I would have gotten a scout in 45 caliber.

Thanks! That's encouraging. I'm buying it for me and hope that it's light enough that I can persuade my wife to shoot it enough that she'll tell me to buy myself a new gun. LOL

Have the Pedersoli Scout Carbine in 32 caliber, with both percussion and flint locks. Really only shoot it in the flint configuration. Use 12-15 grains of Swiss 3F or 4F under a patched 1-1/2 buckshot. It’s a great squirrel gun.

I owned a .50 Super Cub (basically the same rifle) with both a flint lock and a percussion lock. I killed a good many deer over the years with the flint AND the percussion lock mounted. Excellent rifle that was a near perfect bush rifle. It was very accurate and made one of my longest deer kills at a bit over 100 yards. My only problem was that the flint lock was not very reliable, but it did take several deer.
