I recently come into possesion of an older CVA Kentucky .45 in Percussion, and am prepareing to refinish the stock. The more I think about it the more I wish it were a Flinter. So...how hard would it be to make this conversion?

It shouldn't be to hard, I did a CVA pistol years ago. I just got an actual CVA flint lock but I hear the L&R LPR locks are real nice and worth the price if you're going to do a lot of shooting. The biggest problem I had was getting the drum out. In fact I couldn't, I ended up cutting it off and drilling it out and re-tapping the hole.

If you drcidr to convert to flint, take photos of your changeover, I'm certain there are others here that would like to do the same.
