Used fiebings dark brown leather dye.

You did a very nice job. I really like the darker finish. I think this is the best looking one of these that I've seen put together from a kit.

I just received a .41 caliber smoothbore barrel for a derringer and I have been looking for a source for a lock. Haven't found one listed yet, but I may contact some of the suppliers who sell this kit.

Could you PM me and let me know where you got the kit?

Thanks,
Tim

That's really nice! I've been wanting to put one of those together for awhile now. Looks like they would be a lot of fun. That holster is pretty neat too. Great job!

Great job on all of those shootin irons Airborn! :hatsoff:

I also have several CVA and Traditions products. They are actually great shooters for the money!

:v Nice job on the Derringer---they make a nice kit to build---you don't really spend a lot of time on it and you get a quality looking and shooting replica. Every time I take mine to the range I get compliments and offers to buy---or where do you get those? I got my kit at my club's Sunday morning open house ( with Bagels & lot's of BS) off the trading table for $40.

Hey Bernie.
Would you believe it was a Christmas gift.
I just couldnt wait.
Now Ill have to order another kit for Christmas.

Hey Dirk.
Thanks for the kind words.
Im practicing on everything I can find.
Getting ready for the more expensive kits.

Hy Adam,

$40.00 is a very good deal on that little pistol.

Did I read correctly that you built that in less than 24 hours?!?! :shocked2: Wow, looks great!!!
