My library is borrowing grisdale's fowler book from a library in kentucky so next week I'll have it along with a couple gun building books. I'm curious how most builders make the trigger slot, it looks like a pretty narrow slot from mike's tutorial pics.
 
Well I mean there would also be some stock differences and such, like small modifications of the guard butt plate bolts and barrel right?

But overall its best to do what you like than be stuck with a piece you dont like!
 
No, I'm not building anything this summer. I've wanted a sxs muzzleloading shotgun since my first year of muzzleloading so I bought one. I like the idea of having a gun that I can hunt anything around here. I probably won't deer hunt with it because that wouldn't be fair to my rifles :haha:. If I make enough money this summer next winter I could start a build. Right now I can't wait to get my sxs to start patterning turkey loads.
