Looking for a .44 Dance with squareback triggerguard, and if that isn't going to happen, I'm also interested in other Squareback Pietta revolvers or guards.

Also welcome any information about squareback guard or guns. I ordered a guard from Numrich from their Colt category, but this guard only has 3/4" of space from top to bottom, and I'd really like something closer to the 1" seen on the round guards. I don't know too much about the Dances that had the squarebacks either, if you've got any ideas on when they were last available with the SB guard I'd love to get an idea of how my chances look at finding one.

show me a picture of where you or measuring? I don't think you will find a square back with 1", I have a old square guard somewhere around here let me look but I think it is 3/4"?

Yeah, I bet you're right. I thought I'd read that there were two different sizes of the guards, but that might've been on the Colts. Always thought I'd had smaller hands too so I figured something was off when my fingers hardly fit in this thing. If they're all this small, I'm still in the market for a .44 Dance, and maybe if anyone has a Squareback Dragoon they could let me know if the guard is any larger and could better fit my hands.

That extra tenth of an inch would definitely help, my entire Squareback only measures 9 tenths from top to bottom outside. So I'd for sure be interested in anyone with any up for offer.

Appreciate it, thats a lot more generous than I figured it'd be.
I don't know of a Dance with the square trigger guard. The dragoon guard is not going to fit any other 44 or 36 caliber revolver. Its way bigger. You might be able to use an 1851 London model. But those come smaller for the size of the revolver.

Yeah, I just wanted to get an idea of the size of its guard, and maybe I'll look into getting a full Dragoon, but being that theyre so different I might wait until I get to see one in person.
