He likes to bring up an instance he doesn't know much about, but makes all sorts of comments and claims regardless. He doesn't seem to have much else to do but go well off topic to stir up problems. He's been doing it for a few years now. Some people are just that way I suppose. It's people like him who don't help convert people to more traditional means, but pushed them further. There's one in every bunch I guess...

If he and you are referring to the unfortunate incident involving your conical design and the older ASM walker, then all I can say is .. WOW, REALLY?

I have been using those same conicals almost exclusively in TWO modern, well maintained, Pietta Remington NMA for what? Over two years now? I also use them with what many would consider "magnum" loads for the cap and ball revolver... So much so that I am beginning to have gas cutting issues with the older one. Havent had ANY issue caused by your conical design and in fact, when loaded correctly they have proven to be at least as accurate of not MORE SO then the hornady swaged balls I also shoot.

I thought the fact that the older and weaker ASMs metal combined with the MASSIVE walker load was already established as the main reasons for failure in that incident, long ago???

As a side note, it turns out the 170s are a bit too wide for the '60 snubbie as well... So sadly it looks like Im gonna have to either get or design a stand before I can do any serious testing in it... Shrugs.. It was on "the list" anyway LOL!

Still.. Even though I will need to get a stand, I already carry this thing regularly and feel fine about that, but I will feel even BETTER about it once I can get a cap post installed and load it with your conicals... I have NO doubt that one of your 195s backed by 30grs of 777 will take the wind out of any bad guys sails...
