Here for you enjoyment is a broken Pietta 1858 Remington. I bought this basket case to fix a while back. I’m just going to pass it along to someone else that might want to fiddle with it. The gun is in decent condition other than the base pin that passes through the middle of the cylinder is broken off and seized up inside the cylinder. The cylinder will spin but the pin and cylinder are seized together. Needs heated to break the seize. Someone has beat the brains out of both ends of the broken pin. Bore is in good condition sold as is. $115 includes shipping in the USA

So, let's get this right.... The cylinder spins and locks in place to fire correct? And the pin is seized into the frame and the cylinder currently can't be removed correct?

I wouldn’t mind taking a crack at fixing it, if you wouldn’t mind selling it.
