I read this all of the time and here is what I know! I have a CVA 1860 44 that I bought used and I had to chuck the nipples in a drill and lay a file against the side because the revolver had been dry fired. Since doing that it had worked flawlessly. Last week I bought a Cimmeron by Uberti and it is first rate from stem to stern. I removed the nipples to inspect them and add anti sieze. I have a lamp with a 3X magnifier on it. Because of recient posts I cleaned them off and inspected them very closely. They had no burrs and the shape and heigth of all six were very close. If I watch my dumb buddys and this revolver doesn't get dry fired I expect to get years of use out of it. At 68 years of age I do not plan on stocking up on them! Geo.T.
